Paths Directed by God

Proverbs 3: 5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

PROMISE: The Lord shall direct your paths

CONDITION: Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge God.

If we want God to be in charge of our coming and our going, we must give Him the lead. When we do this, we may not understand why we are going through certain things, but we must trust Him and acknowledge Him wherever we are with whatever is going on. We must believe that He knows what is best for us and that He will never lead us to unnecessary places. It is often easy to look back and see why the Lord has us in certain places with certain people at certain times. It is when we are there that we often wonder what we are doing there. That is the time to not lean on your own understanding, but rather, put your whole-hearted trust in Him, knowing that He is leading the way. When we can do that, we will rest assured that we are in the right place. This scripture reminds me of when I was growing up, some of us teenagers would say to someone who was leaning on us, " What am I, your PLP (public leaning post)? Let Jesus be you PLP- your private leaning post.
