One-A-Day Little Lessons on Love (introduction)
The two greatest commandments in all the Bible have to do with love. Matthew 22:36-40 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all you soul and with all you mind." This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: "Love your neighbor as yourself." All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
There is no denying it, we are to love God first and foremost and secondly, we are to love our fellowman. We need God's love in us to be able to fulfill the commandment. It is the author's intent to stir up and rekindle the flame of love in the hearts of the readers which will ignite a fire of love, spreading like wildfire wherever you go. In attempting to accomplish this, each day's lesson will begin with a personalized question. The stated answer or solution to the question will be drawn from the given scripture verses, our source of help. It is up to each person to personalize the answer for him or herself. May the Holy Spirit use these Little Lessons on Love to help us obey the two greatest commandments in all the world. Scripture verses are taken from the NIV unless other-wise stated.
