Reflections of a ladybug

In the garden (part one)

I love to garden. There I see God in everything that He has made. I love pulling back leaves and digging around to find what little treasure is hidden that will display the greatness of God. I am a photographer of sorts and love to photograph nature as well as my veils! What gives me so much joy is capturing a moment that will illustrate something in God's Word.

One day I felt I was to grab my camera with macro lens in hand. I went to the place I felt God was directing me; to the sunflowers.  I pulled aside an enormous leaf and to my utter joy there was a perfectly placed ladybug. She was sitting there awaiting her photo shoot!

Keep in mind that a ladybug is smaller than a 4mm Swarovski pearl, that is small. I focused the macro and took this shot.

When I saw the photograph I was stunned. On this tiny little created creatures shell was the reflection of the clouds and trees and even me taking the photograph. So tiny & creatively made by God.

God made this little wonder and it reflects His unbelievable handiwork. Psalm 72:19 says "blessed be his glorious name forever and let the whole earth be filled with His glory." Romans 1: 19-20 "For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world , in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse." Isaiah 6:3 "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory."

Everywhere you turn there is something splendid that God has made. I encourage you to look and see the glory of God today as He shows you His invisible attributes, eternal power and divine nature in all that He has made.

Warmly,

Dorene
